Can I clone between AuraDB and AuraDS instances?

Is it possible to clone an AuraDB instance to AuraDS and visa versa?

The answer is yes you can, as outlined in this article. For the purposes of this article we are using the "Clone To New" option.

AuraDB to AuraDS

For the AuraDB instance you wish to clone, click on the 3 dots and chose either of the "Clone To" options, we will be using "Clone To New" during this example.

Select AuraDS instance product type

Select your AuraDS instance requirements and click on Clone instance at the bottom of the screen.

Download / save the login credentials for the new instance, when done mark the check box to confirm and click on the Continue button.

Please note that depending on the instance size, it could take a little time to complete the clone process.

When the process is complete, you will see your new AuraDS instance, cloned from an AuraDB instance.

AuraDS to AuraDB

For the AuraDS instance you wish to clone, click on the 3 dots and chose either of the "Clone To" options, we will be using "Clone To New" during this example.

Select your AuraDB instance requirements, mark the I understand check box and click on "Clone instance" at the bottom of the screen.

Download / save the login credentials for the new instance, when done mark the check box to confirm and click on the Continue button.

Please note that depending on the instance size, it could take a little time to complete the clone process.

When the process is complete, you will see your new AuraDB instance, cloned from an AuraDS instance.
