When trying to connect to your Aura instances, you will be using <dbid>.databases.neo4j.io (public access) or <dbid>.<orch>.neo4j.io (Enterprise private access) to connect.
Aura has a server-side proxy to dispatch all the incoming packages and the package dispatch is based on the dbid section in your FQDN (Full Qualified Domain Name). When the FQDN is verified and if it is a valid one, Aura's ingress proxy will forward the package to the corresponding Aura instance.
This kind of package forwarding mechanism means you cannot connect to your Aura instances by trying to connect with an IP address. And you cannot connect to your Aura instances by any DNS CNAME, alias, or other sorts of friendly name. You will have to connect to your Aura instance by its FQDN.
